THE HUNT

As our latest sock range entitled 'Treasure Hunter' celebrates hunting for and collecting treasure all around us, we thought, what better way to celebrate the launch of this exciting new grouping of socks than with a Scavenger Hunt around our local "hood", Muizenberg? We had 'The Gallivanting Goose', an incredible, team-building, game-creation company, develop a tailor-made 'Wild Goose Chase' around Muizenberg for us and it was so much fun!

In order to gather some teams together for the hunt, we held a competition via our Instagram account from 1-15 February, where our followers could enter by tagging 4 friends that they would like to have in their team for the hunt. On Friday 15 February, we picked five names out of a hat. These five lucky winners formed 5 teams (with each of their 4 friends) to compete against each other to win the ultimate prize at the end of an exciting 90 minute challenge...a gift box filled with 10 pairs of socks from our latest sock range. The gift box also included some other FEAT. sock co. products, like our tights, notebooks and coin purses. The FEAT. sock co. team couldn't help but enter too. We had no intention of winning our socks back, but just enjoying this exciting run about Muizenberg.

The six teams headed out from FEAT. HQ on Palmer Road, Muizenberg, at 11am on Saturday 23rd February. 'The Gallivanting Goose' really did their research to create some challenging clues and riddles for us all to decipher. We created surf boards out of sand, searched for treasure in rock pools close to the beach, searched for old buildings designed by famous architects and tried to bargain for as many sweeties we could possibly get our hands on for R10.

I loved how Larissa from 'The Gallivanting Goose' really incorporated some intricate details about our sock business and our latest range into the various different challenges. All round, it was such an exciting morning! The pictures below really reflect all of the fun that was had. In the end, it was the Orange Goose team that one the final take-home prize...and they deserved it. They were creative, they were well-researched and they were fast...and their all-in attitude really paid off!! Enjoy your socks Orange Geese!
